chant for peace.

yoga mantra bhakti retreat with Gopi june 14-16th.

Awaken a deep journey of self discovery and inner joy at our June weekend retreat at New Vrindaban, a Krishna Ashram in West Virginia. We’ll nourish body and soul with yoga, meditation, good vegetarian food and like-minded company. We’ll also dive into mantra music as we join hundreds of yogis and bhaktas in the ashram’s annual 24-hour kirtan.

Plan to arrive Friday afternoon, get settled and then enjoy an grounding welcoming yoga practice followed by light dinner. Evening sunset walk by the lake followed with mantra music meditation . (the drive from DC takes 4-5 hours).

Saturday and Sunday we will rise early for meditation and pranayama followed by a deep morning yoga practice and breakfast.

Saturday morning the ashram energy shifts as musicians arrive and the kirtan begins after yoga and breakfast. Over the next 24 hours, you are welcome to drop in and out of the kirtan as you like, absorbing its vibrations as you meditate or participate in the chanting and dancing. We will reconnect at lunch and for afternoon reflections. We’ll also offer an evening yoga practice for our group. If the spirit moves you, feel free to stay up all night in the sacred force field of souls uniting in sound to bring on a heart revolution and send peace into the world.

On Sunday, as the kirtan winds down, we’ll reflect and share before we begin the drive home to our busy city lives.
