  • We are located on the corner of 5th and K Streets NW. Metered street parking is easily accessible, and there is 2-hour free parking in the neighborhood. Metro to Bhakti Yoga DC via Red Line to Gallery Place, or Green/Yellow Line to Mount Vernon Square. We are located 7 minutes by foot from either Metro station, and two blocks from the Convention Center.

  • Arriving 10 minutes before your class starts will give you enough time to check in, fill out our waiver form and get changed. We allow a 10 minute late grace period for class entry as long as it is not full.

  • Bhakti Yoga DC is here to serve. Thanks for continuing to support our studio, teachers, and community by joining us via Zoom.

    BEFORE you reserve a spot in class, please follow some steps to ENSURE YOU RECEIVE YOUR LOGIN EMAIL:

    1. Sign into your Mindbody account

    2. In your account, click "Edit" next to “Personal”

    3. Confirm your email address is correct

    4. Select the "Email" checkbox next to "Reminders & schedule changes"

    5. Click Save

    RESERVE & JOIN A CLASS:

    Reserve your class as usual from our schedule page.

    Once you reserve, you'll receive an automatic email with your Zoom login information. Click the link in an email a few minutes before class.

  • For persons brand-new to yoga, we advise you to take our beginner class, which will introduce you to the basics of yoga, alignment and breath. All of our teachers are trained to offer adaptations and will meet the students where they are.

  • We invite students to create an online account and make reservations through our studio platform, Mindbody. Visit the schedule page and choose the class you would like to attend.

  • Comfortable clothing that won't restrict your movement.

  • Don't worry if you don't have a mat, as a courtesy our studio will provide one. We kindly ask students to wipe it down with the cleaner provided and to return it to the designated location. For health and hygiene purposes, however, we encourage students to bring their own mat.

  • We provide cubbies for coats, clothing and personal belongings while you take class. Feel free to bring your personal belongings (especially your wallet, keys, phone, etc), into the studio. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

  • To get the best experience from your class, always let your teacher know if you have any injuries or special health conditions. The teacher can guide you as needed. Listen to your intuition and step back when needed. Yoga is not a competition.

  • We have two beautiful sacred spaces where Yoga and Bhakti classes are offered. We have two restrooms, one shower and a changing room. Enjoy our lounge, relax and help yourself to tea. Browse through books and magazines provided for your leisure. Our aim is to create a place to unwind, contemplate your day or simply be with friends deepening your relationships.

Terms & Conditions

  • Purchases

    All class passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Passes and memberships may not be shared. Studio store purchases in original, unused condition are refundable to your BYDC account.

  • Schedule changes

    The schedule is subject to change without prior notice. Please check the online schedule for the most up-to-date schedule and ensure you have enabled email notifications.

  • Belongings

    BYDC is not responsible for the safekeeping of your personal belongings. We recommend you keep your valuables inside the studios in the storage space provided.

  • Late arrivals

    If you do not arrive before the scheduled starting time for a full class for which you have a reservation, your space may be given to someone on the waitlist. In such a case we are unable to refund your reservation. We allow a 10 minute late grace period for class entry as long as it is not full.

  • Waitlist

    Booking online gives you the ability to add yourself to the waitlist for a fully reserved class. If a spot becomes available, you are automatically registered and charged. You will be notified via email.

    BYDC allocates a certain number of spots for walk-in students, but there is no guarantee a spot will be available.

  • Injury

    It is the responsibility of the student to notify teachers of any previous injury, illness, or conditions that may impact their practice.

  • Class cancellation

    Please cancel your class 1 hour prior to the start time of a reserved class, otherwise you will be fully charged for the class. You may cancel your reservation using our online system, or by calling 301-646-9499. If we don’t answer the phone, leave a message with your name and class time.

  • Workshop cancellation

    A workshop fee can be fully credited to your BYDC account if canceled at least 24 hours before the start time. After this time, you will be charged for the workshop.

  • Appointment cancellation

    Please cancel an individual appointment (for massage, private instruction, etc.) at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled time by calling 301-646-9499. After that time, you may be charged for the missed appointment.

  • New student pass

    Valid for new students to BYDC only. New students are defined as individuals who have never previously attended classes at BYDC, with the exception of 1 free intro class. One purchase per student. Two weeks is defined as 14 calendar days from time of payment, unless a client has specified otherwise at time of purchase.

  • Annual membership

    Auto renewal is required with either direct deposit or credit card. After 12 months your membership will be automatically renewed and charges will continue unless you cancel your membership. Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable.

  • Membership cancellation

    Cancellation fee of $170 or 3 months notice required to terminate annual membership before 12 months are up. To cancel, written notice is required (cancellations are not accepted over the phone or by voice message). Please send an email to info@bhaktiyogadc.com.

    There is no cancellation fee after 12 months of use. There may be new membership fees applied. You will be notified of any changes.

    You can pause your membership at any time due to injury or sickness, but we reserve the right to approve a hold in any other situation. Please email info@bhaktiyogadc.com with your request.
