Bhakti Yoga DC 300-Hour Advanced Training Agreement
This Agreement outlines the terms and shared responsibilities of participants (“Student”) in Bhakti Yoga DC’s 300-Hour Advanced Training Program (“Program”). By registering and signing this Agreement, the Student agrees to the following:
1. Program Structure and Certification Requirements
The Program may be completed through full-program enrollment or by taking eligible modules individually.
To receive a Level 2 American Yoga Council Certification through Bhakti Yoga DC, the Student must complete the following within 2.5 years of the first enrolled module:
270 hours of faculty-led training through core modules
Up to 20 hours of electives, including at least one Bhakti Philosophy course
15-hour internship
15-hour Final Examination & Graduation weekend
Students are responsible for tracking their progress in coordination with BYDC and completing all required coursework, assignments, attendance hours, internship responsibilities, and assessments.
Enrollment alone does not guarantee certification. All Program and financial requirements must be completed before certification will be issued.
Certification does not guarantee employment or teaching opportunities at Bhakti Yoga DC or elsewhere, nor does it guarantee registration with any other professional organization.
2. Full-Program Tuition and Payment
Full-program tuition is:
$4,300 when paid in full
$4,500 with an installment plan of $250 per month for 18 months
Any promotional tuition or alternate payment schedule will be reflected at the time of registration.
Students using an installment plan agree to complete all scheduled payments unless they formally withdraw from the Program under the cancellation policy below.
Full-program tuition includes:
Required training modules offered during the 24-month program-access period
Three regular BYDC studio classes per calendar month, or the option to upgrade to Unlimited studio classes for $85 per month
Program mentorship, certification guidance, and progress tracking
Books, supplies, travel, individually selected electives outside the Program, and any outstanding modules purchased after the program-access period are not included unless otherwise stated.
3. Individual Module Enrollment
Students may take eligible modules individually for personal enrichment, professional development, or to work toward Level 2 certification without enrolling in the complete Program.
Current individual module pricing is published on the BYDC website and displayed at registration. Individual-module students pay the listed price for each module and do not receive the monthly studio-class benefit, mentorship, or full-program pricing protections unless otherwise stated in writing.
Cancellation and refund terms for an individual module will be provided at the time of registration. Once an individual module begins, its tuition is nonrefundable.
4. Program-Access and Certification Windows
Full-program enrollment provides access to required modules offered during the 24 months following the Student’s first enrolled module.
The Student has 2.5 years from the first enrolled module to complete all requirements for certification, including required training, electives, the internship, and the Final Examination & Graduation weekend.
After the 24-month program-access period ends, the Student may purchase any outstanding eligible modules individually at a 20% discount during the remaining certification window.
If BYDC does not offer a required module during the Student’s 24-month access period, the Student will be permitted to take that module when it is next offered without repurchasing it, provided the Student remains eligible to complete the Program.
Module schedules are subject to faculty availability and minimum enrollment. If a module must be rescheduled, BYDC will provide as much notice as reasonably possible.
5. Studio Class Benefit
Full-program students receive one of the following studio-practice options during their active 24-month program-access period:
Included Class Option
Three regular BYDC studio classes per calendar month at no additional cost.
Included classes:
Must be used within the applicable calendar month
Do not roll over or accumulate
Are nontransferable and may be used only by the enrolled Student
Have no cash, credit, or refund value
Are subject to BYDC’s standard reservation and cancellation policies
Apply only to regularly scheduled studio classes and do not include workshops, special events, series, private sessions, or other separately priced offerings
Unlimited Class Option
Instead of the three included classes, full-program students may choose Unlimited regular studio classes for $85 per month.
The Unlimited option:
Replaces the three included monthly classes
Is billed monthly until canceled or until the program-access period ends
Is subject to BYDC’s standard reservation and cancellation policies
Applies only to regularly scheduled studio classes
Does not include workshops, special events, series, private sessions, or other separately priced offerings
Is nontransferable and has no cash, credit, or refund value
Requests to begin or cancel the Unlimited option must be submitted to BYDC before the next monthly charge.
Studio class benefits require active full-program enrollment and end if the Student withdraws from or is dismissed from the Program.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
A full-program Student may withdraw at any time by submitting a written request to Bhakti Yoga DC.
Completed modules are nonrefundable and will be charged at their current individual module price.
A $250 cancellation fee applies.
After the cost of completed modules and the cancellation fee are deducted from the tuition paid, any remaining balance will be refunded.
If the amount paid does not cover the completed modules and cancellation fee, the remaining amount is due at cancellation.
Future installment payments will be canceled after any remaining amount due has been paid.
If Bhakti Yoga DC cancels the complete Program, the Student will receive a refund of tuition paid for training not provided. If a module or session must be rescheduled, BYDC will arrange an alternate date or reasonable completion option.
7. Attendance and Completion Responsibilities
Students are expected to attend each enrolled module on time and participate fully.
To receive credit for a module, the Student must:
Complete all required training hours
Submit required assignments and assessments
Complete any required practice teaching
Demonstrate appropriate participation, competency, and professionalism
Be in good financial standing
Students should notify BYDC as soon as possible if they expect to miss any portion of a module. Missed hours must be completed through make-up work or another completion option approved by the Program Director. Additional instruction or enrollment in a future module may be required when missed content cannot reasonably be completed through an assignment.
8. Training Materials
Training manuals, handouts, recordings, and other written or digital materials provided by Bhakti Yoga DC are the intellectual property of BYDC or the applicable instructor.
These materials are provided for the Student’s personal study and teaching development. They may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, sold, published, or shared publicly without prior written permission.
Students may not record training sessions or other participants without permission.
9. Community Conduct
Advanced training requires a respectful and supportive learning environment. Students agree to:
Treat fellow students, instructors, staff, and guests with respect
Maintain appropriate confidentiality when others share personal experiences
Participate without disruptive, discriminatory, threatening, or unsafe behavior
Respect personal boundaries and follow instructor guidance
Refrain from attending while impaired by alcohol or non-prescribed substances
If a concern arises, BYDC will generally communicate with the Student and allow an opportunity to address the issue when appropriate.
Bhakti Yoga DC may dismiss a Student for serious or repeated behavior that is unsafe, disruptive, discriminatory, or inconsistent with the learning environment. Any financial responsibility or refund following dismissal will be determined under the cancellation policy above, taking into account the circumstances and training already provided.
10. Health, Personal Responsibility and Assumption of Risk
The Program may include physical movement, yoga postures, breath practices, meditation, partner exercises, hands-on learning, and personal reflection. These activities carry inherent physical and emotional risks.
Students are responsible for practicing within their abilities, communicating injuries or relevant limitations, and choosing whether to participate in any particular activity. Students may decline hands-on assists or request an alternative when reasonably available.
Bhakti Yoga DC and its instructors do not provide medical care, mental-health treatment, or therapy through this Program. Students are encouraged to consult an appropriate professional when needed.
By signing this Agreement, the Student voluntarily accepts the ordinary risks associated with participation and agrees not to hold Bhakti Yoga DC, its instructors, staff, or representatives responsible for injuries or losses arising from those inherent risks, except where caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
11. Program Adjustments
Bhakti Yoga DC may make reasonable changes to instructors, session content, location, format, or schedule when circumstances require. Any changes will preserve the overall educational purpose and certification requirements of the Program, and students will receive as much advance notice as reasonably possible.
12. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the District of Columbia.
